We love Scarborough and want visitors to enjoy it now and in the future, which is why we aim to be a green business and provide sustainable tourism. However, we also care about the planet as a whole and want people who supply goods to Britain to get a fair wage. This is why we use Fair Trade products wherever possible. All tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar used in rooms is Fairtrade. Breakfast coffee is now also Fairtrade.

Tel: 01947 604389 - "Most of our products are sourced locally and we have the vast majority of all our purchases delivered in order to avoid using the car. We try to ensure that goods from further field are Fairtrade (e.g. tea, coffee, chocolate and sugar on your hospitality tray) or proved to be ethically sourced and sustainable."
Stephen & Julie write: "We choose to use Fairtrade as an ethical choice but only because we know that we get good quality and value for money, if the quality wasn’t acceptable we would soon know about it from our guests. Now it is becoming easier to source hospitality products that are Fairtrade and the price differential is small enough to not be a consideration and for some items Fairtrade can be cheaper than well known branded products. Consumers are becoming more aware of ethical issues and we like to let them know what we are doing."
